Xin obtained his master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida in May 2023. He has a concentration track on machine learning and a minor in computer science. After graduating, he joined Dr. Xiao Fan’s Laboratory at the University of Florida’s Department of Biomedical Engineering as a research volunteer. He works on protein language modeling to predict variant functional effects.
